Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The presentation of the German project for the development of tourism and hospitality in Uzbekistan was held at the «Inspira-s» Hotel in Tashkent.
The event was attended by Ulugbek Agzamov, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tilo Klinner, German Ambassador to Uzbekistan, representative of the educational Center of the Saxon Economy Irina Einert, Anastasia Tulke, head of joint projects of the «Sequa» organization in Eastern and Western Europe, Central and East Asia, Albert Over, representative of the Institute of Vocational Education of the Saxon Business-communities, Farangiz Abdullayeva, chairman of the Hoteliers Association and others participated.
Ulugbek Azamov, First Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, speaking at the presentation, noted that in recent years the tourism industry has been developing dynamically.
"Our goal is to bring the service sector in tourism to a new level, to improve the quality and scale of services in the field of tourism. It should be noted that the project, implemented jointly by the Association of Hoteliers of Germany and Uzbekistan, is aimed at bringing the quality of hotel management to a new level and introducing the German hotel management system in Uzbekistan. I think this will be one of our main directions for 2023," said Ulugbek Azamov.
He noted the importance of implementing educational programs to further improve the quality of tourism services and thanked them for their cooperation in this direction.
German Ambassador to Uzbekistan Tilo Klinner noted that the presented project is of great importance for our country.
"Uzbekistan, with its culture, values, monuments, also attracts citizens of Europe, in particular Germany. And in this process, it would be advisable to improve the quality of education in the field of tourism," Klinner said. - High-quality education provides an opportunity for young personnel entering the tourism industry to acquire the necessary skills and experience for themselves, in the future, to become mature personnel. This is very important for Uzbekistan, where the tourism is developing.
At the event, experts focused on the project aimed at the development of tourism and hospitality in Uzbekistan, and their expected results. It was stressed that it is important to improve the qualifications of service personnel in hotels and restaurants through quality education.
It should be noted that this project will contribute to an increase in the number of educated and highly qualified personnel in the field of tourism in Uzbekistan. This, of course, will play an important role in the development of domestic and foreign tourism, and in further increasing the number of foreign tourists.
