Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 30 January, a meeting was held at the Uztekstilprom Association with the Director of the Sourcing and Import Department of Auchan Russia, Pierre Cardelli, and the supply manager, Christophe Delaney.

At the meeting, representatives of the French brand shared their positive impressions of visiting Uzbek textile enterprises and, as a result, stated that they would start working with Uzbek enterprises certified in accordance with environmental and social standards (Oeko-Tex, Sedex), which is the main criterion for them when choosing a partner. It will also take into account the high quality of the products, sustainability, and prices commensurate with their suppliers from Vietnam, China, Bangladesh and India.

The guests were also informed that, according to the corporation’s policy, textile products produced in the republic will be placed in retail outlets in Russia, Asia and Europe. In order to operate effectively, a brand office will be opened in Tashkent in the near future.

It should be noted that Auchan Retail Russia is a large retail chain that operates 230 stores around the world. Including, there is an online store and a mobile application “My Auchan” for the convenience of customers.
