The forecourt of the terminal of domestic airlines is open after reconstruction

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 September, the station square was opened in front of the Tashkent-3 domestic airlines terminal, the reconstruction of which began about two weeks ago.

Now the arrival of vehicles to the terminal is simplified. So, three separate lanes appeared: for official airport taxi services, tourist buses and minibuses, as well as cars seeing off and meeting, including taxis working with aggregators.

Short-term entry into the territory will be allowed for all cars, tourist buses and minibuses with a time limit of up to 10 minutes. In case of exceeding the allowable time spent by the car on the lane, cameras installed and integrated with the traffic police will automatically send fines to violators. Also, stopping on the yellow line separating the right and left lanes of arrival is prohibited and is considered a violation, for which a fine is also provided.

“Until today, motor vehicles did not have access to the forecourt, based on certain security requirements. Now we have created the necessary conditions for drivers in accordance with international standards, to be able to leave and pick up passengers at the terminal,” the Aviation Security Service of Uzbekistan Airports JSC noted.

The reconstruction of the station square was carried out as part of the implementation of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On additional measures aimed at improving the quality of service at airports, railway and bus stations.”

It is worth noting that until 1 January 2024, the reconstruction of the forecourt areas will also be carried out at all international airports in Uzbekistan.
