Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As a result of large-scale reforms undertaken by the President of Uzbekistan to develop the tourism sector, the flow of tourists to the country is growing rapidly.

The sharp increase in the flow of tourists into the country affected the business entities of the tourism sector in the regions, which, in turn, helped to increase the number of tourist facilities. Over the past period of the year, 40 accommodation facilities (hotels) were built and put into operation with 2,038 beds, the press service of the State Committee of Tourism reports.

In particular, 10 hotels with 451 places were put into operation in Tashkent, 6 accommodation facilities with 160 places in Bukhara region, 4 accommodation facilities with 108 places in Samarkand region, 9 accommodation facilities with 430 places in Khorezm region.

As a result of the work carried out today, the total number of accommodation facilities is 966, with 43,423 beds (beds).

Also, according to information received from the regions, work is currently continuing on the construction of 138 accommodation facilities with 14,634 beds, including 93 accommodation facilities with category 3 and 4 stars with 13,196 beds.
