Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 October 2020, under the co-chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov and Aziz Abdukhakimov, the first meeting of the Governing Council for the accelerated implementation of the construction project and commissioning of the international all-season resort "Beldersay-Chimgan- Nanay "in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region was held.

During the meeting, the priority tasks for the accelerated implementation of the project were considered, including the solution of a number of issues related to the financing of the project, the completion of the feasibility study of the project in accordance with the master plan developed by the consortium of French companies Geode, Manie Lives, Egis, Patriarche, Epode with the support of the French Foundation for Research and Assistance to the Private Sector (FASEP), setting up the work of the project office, as well as launching organizational work related to the implementation of projects for the development of local engineering and communication infrastructure.

Also, responsible leaders, together with the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad and regional khokimiyats, were instructed to begin systematic work to attract local and foreign investors to implement projects in the resort, including by organizing advertising campaigns and road shows in foreign business circles.

The goal of the project is to develop and increase the investment potential of the tourism industry in Uzbekistan. The project provides for attracting investments in the amount of up to US$500 million, including through foreign direct investment, as well as French financial institutions aimed at developing tourism, road transport and communal infrastructure.

The Governing Council for the accelerated implementation of the construction project and commissioning of the international all-season resort "Beldersay-Chimgan-Nanai" was created in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 559 "On additional measures for the development of tourist infrastructure in mountainous areas." 

The main tasks of the Council are to coordinate the activities of government bodies, local executive authorities and business associations for the construction and organization of the effective functioning of the resort, as well as providing practical assistance in the implementation of investment projects and systematic control over the progress of their implementation on its territory.
