Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 March 2022, the first flight on the Tashkent-Nukus-Muynak route arrived at Muynak Airport.

Muynak Airport has not been used for transportation since the 1990s. Previously, flights to Nukus, Urgench, Tashkent and other cities of the country were operated from here. 

The reconstruction of the airport began in 2019, in accordance with the decree of the government of Uzbekistan. To date, the terminal building, the airport fence and the runway have been built.
