Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the initiative of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, electricity-powered equipment will be used for waste removal in the country for the first time. The electric car was imported from China by waste cluster Eco House.

“Today, new technologies in the field of ecology are being introduced in the country, in particular in the field of waste management,” said Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change Aziz Abdukhakimov. - “Electric vehicle imported in partnership with the Chinese company Chengdu Shiny Technology Co Ltd. is important primarily because it does not emit toxic emissions into the atmosphere and does not harm the environment.”

Chinese company specialist Wei Guo noted that the machine does not harm the atmosphere, and Uzbekistan, in turn, pays attention to this aspect.

“The electric car is produced in the Chinese city of Chengdu. It is environmentally friendly. We are pleased to cooperate with Uzbekistan and plan to produce electric vehicles for waste collection in this country in the future,” said Wei Guo.

The electric car will be tested in Jizzakh region. It is worth noting that it is also designed for driving on narrow streets.

“The car covers a distance of 300 kilometers at full power. This allows waste to be removed from populated areas during the day and transported to special landfills. It can also easily transport up to 3 tons of cargo,” noted Jakhongir Khudoiberdiev, head of the Eco House waste cluster.

For information, in 2023, at the initiative of the Ministry of Ecology, a musical method for removing waste from populated areas was introduced. This was initiated due to the population’s dissatisfaction with the loud signal of special equipment during waste removal.
