The first aircraft of Silk Avia flew to Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 March at 23:07 UTC (18 March at 04:07 Tashkent time), the first plane of the regional domestic airline Silk Avia took off from Bangkok to Tashkent.

The aircraft passed the inspection of the technical condition and painting, performed test flights and received an export certificate. Taking into account the maximum altitude (7600 m) and range (1500 km) of the ATR 72-600 flight from Bangkok to Tashkent, the aircraft flies with six stops - in Singapore, India, Oman, Egypt, Cyprus and Azerbaijan. According to preliminary data, the first Silk Avia aircraft will land in Tashkent on 21v.

“A colossal work has been done: from finding suitable aircraft to purchasing them and completing all the necessary documents. Before the start of the first flights, there is already quite a bit. We are very pleased that we can make such an important gift to the people of Uzbekistan for Navruz,” said Rano Juraeva, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airports.

It is worth noting that the ATR 72-600 is one of the world’s most popular short-haul aircraft with a capacity of 70 passengers. A safe and economical low-cost aircraft, consuming four times less fuel than the Airbus A320, will offer passengers reliability and comfort at an affordable price.
