Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Alibaba GET Global Challenge 2020 competition was announced by IT Park, together with the China Campus Network (representative of Alibaba GET in Uzbekistan), Startup Initiatives, UNDP Accelerator Lab and the Center for Support of Youth Entrepreneurship of Uzbekistan.
As a reminder, Alibaba GET Global Challenge 2020 is Alibaba’s international competition for youth around the world to create business solutions to mitigate the impact of the pandemic and provide assistance in all areas of daily life.
The goal of the competition is to share the positive impact of the new business paradigm, promote inclusive development, inspire and empower youth and entrepreneurs, and contribute to the digital transformation of organizations, industries and societies.
The main prize of the international competition is 100,000 yuan (about US$14,000) and a study trip to the heart of the digital economy - to the headquarters of Alibaba and joining the Alibaba GET Talent Bank. For all participants in the competition, trainings and seminars will be held to develop their business.
As a result, 109 applications for participation in the competition were received from all over Uzbekistan. After the selection round, 3 projects were selected that went to the final, and these are:
Coozin
Coozin is mainly aimed at helping unemployed and needy women in Uzbekistan. Coozin wants to significantly increase the employment of women, as well as help women who have lost their breadwinner;
modme
Modme is a b2b platform that helps educational institutions create blended learning that helps them work online and offline at the same time;
OSTO
OSTO is a marketplace for retail stores in Uzbekistan, specializing in stylish and fashionable clothing, beauty products and household goods. OSTO provides the best visual and quality experience for customers.
The finalists’ projects will be presented on 25 August 2020.
