Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In order to develop sports tourism and promote a healthy lifestyle in the country, the final stage of the Uzbekistan Cup in car racing was held on 12-14 March 2020 at the Navruzbulak race track in Jizzakh.

The competition was attended by athletes from Ferghana, Andijan, Namangan, Jizzakh, Samarkand, Bukhara, Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya and Khorezm regions and the city of Tashkent. A total of 70 athletes competed in four different types of vehicles. Racers in the Jizzakh Regional Center for Technical and Applied Sports took first place in the team event.

The second and third places were taken by teams from Andijan region and the city of Tashkent. The winners were awarded souvenirs from the Regional Department of Jizzakh region for the development of tourism and the organizers of the event.

“In recent years, a lot of work has been done to develop physical culture and sports, promoting a healthy lifestyle among the population. Also one of the newest and most modern sports are cars and motocross. It is no secret that today there are many car enthusiasts.

That is why such tournaments are held in Jizzakh region with the aim of developing sports tourism and, consequently, increasing the flow of internal and external tourists, ”said Shohrukh Abdimurodov, head of the Regional Department for Tourism Development of the Jizzakh Region.

Autocross is a technical and practical sport organized in cooperation with the organization that promotes the defense of Uzbekistan - Watanparvar, the National Automobile Federation of Uzbekistan, the Republican Center for Technical and Applied Sports and the khokimiyat of Jizzakh region.
