The explosion in Tashkent did not affect the operation of the capital’s airport

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, on 28 September at 02:43 in the Sergeli district of Tashkent, a major explosion occurred at the warehouse of the Inter Logistics company.

The incident did not in any way affect the operation of the capital’s airport. Tashkent International Airport operates as normal without restrictions.

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and other organizations at the scene of the explosion localized the fire and continue to extinguish it. The situation is completely under control, the department’s press service notes.

At 05:02 the fire was localized. As a result of the quick actions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees, the fire area is reduced. From the first minutes, rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and employees of relevant organizations have been working at the scene of the incident.

To determine the cause of the fire, a special laboratory of the Ministry of Emergency Situations is working at the scene. A headquarters was created on the spot under the leadership of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

On 28 September, at 02:43, the emergency department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a report of an explosion and subsequent fire that occurred in one of the warehouses located on the territory of the Stroitel array in the Sergeli district of Tashkent.

As a result of the explosion, the windows of a dozen apartments were broken. Some of the transport was damaged.

According to a message from the Ministry of Health, those injured in the fire were taken to the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care and its branch in the Tashkent region.

So far there are no serious injuries among them. At the moment, doctors are providing all necessary medical care to the victims.
