Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A large-scale exhibition project "The splendor of Uzbekistan’s oases. At the crossroads of caravan routes" has completed its work in Louvre. Since its opening it has been visited by more than 260,000 people.

A large-scale project dedicated to the cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan - exhibition " The splendor of Uzbekistan’s oases. At the intersection of caravan routes" ended in its work in Paris on 6 March.

"The Splendor of Uzbekistan’s Oases. At the Intersection of Caravan Routes" is a long-awaited and time-consuming project. It took four years to prepare for the exhibition. More than 70 very rare exhibits made of ceramics, wood, metal, wall paintings and paper were restored for display in the famous Parisian museum. A total of 138 items from Uzbekistan’s museums were on display. For the first time, the region’s rich cultural heritage was on show in one of the world’s biggest museums, opening up the history of the Great Silk Road to an international audience. 

More than 260,000 people have visited the exhibition since it opened on 23 November 2022. The Art and Culture Development Foundation expressed gratitude to all the professionals involved in this important project.
