Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Central Bank of Uzbekistan has published new foreign exchange rates, which will come into effect from 16 August 2019.

The US dollar rose by 179 soums to 9061 soums. It should be noted that for the first time it exceeded the level of 9,000 soums from the beginning of currency liberalization.

The euro increased by 163.84 soums and reached to 19992.14 soums. At the same time, the ruble grew by 2.09 soums and now costs 138.47 soums.

Currency rates are set by the Central Bank on a weekly basis for accounting, statistical and other reporting on foreign exchange transactions, as well as the calculation of customs and other obligatory payments.
