Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 January 2022, the State Budget Department under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Training Center under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a seminar on the content and significance of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022” (LRU-742 dated December 30, 2021) . The seminar was attended by specialists from ministries and departments of the republic online.

The main goal of the seminar is to provide wider coverage of the reforms of the budget process, provide information on the main macroeconomic indicators provided for by the Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2022”, changes in indicators of State budget revenues and tax rates, exchange of views on ongoing reforms to forecast revenues of the State budget.

At the seminar, the Director of the State Budget Department under the Ministry of Finance Sherzod Mukhamedov made a presentation on the essence and significance of the Law and gave detailed information on the following areas:

forecast of the main macroeconomic indicators for 2022;

revenue and expenditure forecast of the Consolidated State Budget for 2022 and budget targets for 2023-2024;

the maximum amount of funds allocated from the republican budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2022 for distributors of budgetary funds of the first level;

forecast of revenues and expenditures of local budgets of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and Tashkent;

normative transfers allocated from the republican budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan to local budgets;

forecast of income and expenses of state trust funds, the Fund for Reconstruction and Development for 2022 and budget goals for 2023-2024;

limiting volumes of public debt received on behalf of the Republic of Uzbekistan and under the guarantee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

During the seminar, reasonable answers were given to the questions of the participants. The seminar was productive and interesting, with a lively discussion.
