Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Pianist from France Dimitri Malignan and Norwegian soprano Elizaveta Agrafenina will perform an exquisite concert program in the Great Hall of the State Conservatory in Tashkent on 6 June at 19:00 and in the concert hall of music school No. 3 in Samarkand on 8 June at 17:00.
The concert program consists of works by Russian, Soviet and French composers: Felix Blumenfeld, Sergei Rachmaninov, Mieczyslaw Weinberg, Ernest Chausson, Claude Debussy, Gabriel Fauré and Charles Gounod. It should be noted that the work chosen for the concert by Mieczysław Weinberg was written by him during his residence in Tashkent. Elizaveta and Dimitri recorded a joint album with melodies from forgotten Eastern European composers called "Elegies and Echoes", some of which they will present in their concert program in Uzbekistan. They recently released another disc, in collaboration with cellist Sarah Bayens, dedicated to the works of Dutch composers.
