Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Agency for Strategic Reforms of Uzbekistan (ASR) with representatives of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), where various aspects of the development of investment policy and transport links in Uzbekistan were discussed.

One of the key topics of the meeting was the project “Road Map for Sustainable Reform of Investment Policy in Uzbekistan.”

Participants discussed current problems in the field of transport links, policy measures aimed at developing trade and integration in the country. Assessments of the implementation of reforms in improving the legal environment for business and investment were also considered.

The event was attended by ASR Deputy Director Rustamkhon Azizov, Deputy Head of the OECD Investment Division Stephen Thomsen, RSIPR Project Manager and Head of the FDI Quality Group Fares Al Hussami, Head of the Central Asia Division Gregory Lecomte, Policy Analyst Celeste Laporte and ASR Representative Temurbek Ganiev.

This event was an important step for Uzbekistan in its pursuit of sustainable economic development and attracting foreign investment. Exchange of experience and expertise with the OECD provides new opportunities for effective reforms in the country and contributes to its integration into the global economic system.
