Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Presidential Decree “On writing off tax debts resulting from the application of an effective tax mechanism” was adopted.

For property tax and land tax resulting from an effective tax mechanism applied at higher rates to owners of unused facilities:

the existing tax debt is written off;

judicial and executive cases related to the collection of tax debts are terminated.

The owners of the relevant object will be refunded the tax amounts collected as a result of the application of an effective tax mechanism in the period from 1 July 2022 until the entry into force of this Decree, against future payments.

From 1 July 2022, the procedure for applying increased rates of property tax and land tax, suspension of tax benefits and preferences in relation to empty buildings, unused production areas, non-residential structures destination, objects of construction in progress, as well as land plots occupied by these objects was introduced in Uzbekistan.
