The Council of Women Entrepreneurs established in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A Council of Women Entrepreneurs has been established in Uzbekistan under the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. This was reported by the press service of the Chamber.
The Council was created in accordance with the Decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev from 14 March 2025 “On measures to further improve the system of family and women’s support.”
Its activities aim to strengthen the role of women in the entrepreneurial environment, protect their rights, and provide the necessary legal, financial, and practical assistance.
The Council has the right to directly represent the interests of women entrepreneurs in parliament and initiate programs aimed at developing their businesses.
The Council consists of 27 members, 21 of whom are women actively engaged in entrepreneurial activities. At their initiative, 2,639 new jobs have been created in the country, export volume has reached $7.6 million, and the trade turnover has amounted to 402.8 billion soums.
The Chairperson of the Council is Nozimakhon Davletova, who heads the Department of Information and Analytical Support for Foreign Policy and Foreign Economic Cooperation in the External Relations Department of the Presidential Administration. Her deputies are Nodira Shotursunova, who holds the position of Deputy Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Dilfuza Nurmatova, General Director of the company Hamroh.
