Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A new project developed in cooperation with the Indian IT company Routern.com, entitled “Virtual Tours to Uzbekistan”, allows visitors of the embassy to get acquainted with the tourist sights of the republic in 3D.

The program of special equipment of the virtual tour contains 3D-pictures of the sights of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva. Using the device, a person begins to travel on the streets of Tashkent, to admire the magnificent architecture of the Registan Square, to enjoy the “walk” in Bukhara.

The presentation of this project, which took place recently at the embassy, was a pleasant surprise for many participants, among whom were “football star” of India Baichung Bhutia, chairman of the Indo-Uzbek Friendship Society, well-known public figure Anil Shastri, representatives of leading media and major travel agencies of India.

“I am very pleased to participate in such an innovative event. It is remarkable that the Embassy of Uzbekistan uses the achievements of "know-how" to promote the country’s tourist potential. Your country is close to my heart - my football coach was from Uzbekistan. Today I “virtually” visited your wonderful country. But, I am already eager to go there with family and friends as soon as possible. This year is sure to happen,” Bhutia shared his impressions.

Technological author of the project Chandrakant Sharma believes that "a virtual tour has a veiled psychological stimulating effect in order to push a person to decide to go on a real trip."

“This is the practical significance of this project,” Sharma added. - To create this project last year we visited Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara. Following the trip, the specialists of the company “Routern.com” created a special program that allows for virtual tours of the historic cities of Uzbekistan.

Another important part of the event was the participation of Indian school students with disabilities. When they “traveled” to Uzbekistan with the help of devices, it was easy to see their joy and excitement. Special gifts from the embassy - national souvenirs - have become for them an additional positive charge.

School principal Jennifer Tytler sincerely thanked the embassy for inviting her students to the event.

- Today, our students had the opportunity to "virtually" visit Uzbekistan. They have very wonderful impressions. Indeed, a bit of human attention and care is generally enough to give people a good mood.

During the event, the participants also got acquainted with the permanent presentation of the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Uzbek people at the embassy. Along with this, the guests were shown videos about the modern development and tourism potential of Uzbekistan.
