Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 1 April, the Tashkent Botanical Garden hosted a republican competition for the creation of birdhouses "Let’s protect the birds" on the occasion of the International Day of Birds. The competition is held on the initiative of the Minister of Natural Resources A. Abdukhakimov in all regions of the republic among young people under 30 years old.

The organizers were the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Research Institute of Environment and Environmental Technologies under the Ministry and the Society for the Protection of Birds of Uzbekistan.

At the opening of the event, Minister of Natural Resources Aziz Abdukhakimov emphasized the importance of the active participation of every compatriot in the preservation of pristine nature, especially birds. According to him, this competition is held to improve the attitude of the population, especially young people to birds.

It is important to instill in the younger generation that it is impossible to destroy the places where wild birds build their nests and harm them. By teaching them from an early age to plant trees, build nests for birds and be kind, we will increase the protection of birds.

With the help of the bot, 882 participants from all regions were registered, of which 103 participants were from Tashkent. It should be noted that this competition is held in all regions of the republic.

Participants were divided into three age groups 5-10, 11-17, 18-30 years old. The jury included industry experts who paid special attention to the creative ideas of the participants in the manufacture of birdhouses. The winners were determined on the basis of the requirements specified in the competition regulations and were awarded with diplomas, cash vouchers and gifts.

The winner of the competition in Tashkent:

I - places: Sabina Zakirova, Mehribonu Gapparova, Abdumukhtor Abdujabbarov, Javlon Yakhshilikov, Pulat Pulat, Akbarali Abdikarimov.

II - places: Avazbek Tursunkulov, Umar Nematov, Adkham Iskandarov, Avazbek Mamurjanov, Dilnura Irgasheva.

III - places: Bekzod Kodirov, Sukhrob Khudoyorov, Diyor Dustmurodov, Suyun Jalilov, Istora Akhmetova, Solikha Anvarova.

As part of the competition, the Minister of Natural Resources and the participants planted seedlings.
