Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 8 September, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade hosted a meeting between Deputy Minister Sarvar Khamidov and Deputy Chairman of the International Development Cooperation Agency of the People’s Republic of China Deng Boqing, who is visiting Uzbekistan at the head delegations from the PRC.

During the negotiations, the progress of projects implemented at the expense of grant funds from the Government of the People’s Republic of China was reviewed, and the prospects for expanding bilateral financial and technical cooperation were discussed.

The Chinese side highly appreciated the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in recent years and expressed its readiness to further intensify interaction in the implementation of socially significant projects.

At the end of the meeting, a ceremony was held to sign the Memorandum on the implementation of priority grant projects. The document provides for the implementation of 14 projects totaling over $190 million in such sectors as agriculture and water management, healthcare, education and institutional development, the press service of the MIPT reports.
