Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum on the development of e-commerce with the Russian marketplace Ozon.
The ceremony took place within the framework of the Third Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan, which was held on 4 October in Kazan.
The parties agreed to cooperate with the aim of developing logistics infrastructure in Uzbekistan for storing, processing and delivering goods, as well as improving the mechanisms of cross-border trade and developing entrepreneurship in the country.
With the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Ozon will conduct training events for entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan. The company plans to take part in the work to improve the regulation of e-commerce, as well as cross-border trade mechanisms.
Ozon has been doing business in the CIS since 2021. Today, the company is developing a marketplace and attracting sellers in Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia.
