Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The chairman of the board and the acting first deputy chairman of the board of the Uzenergosotish have been appointed.

Jakhongir Obidjonov took the position of Chairman of the Board of the Uzenergosotish company.

Shokhrukh Karabaev, who previously held the post of Deputy Director of Project Office for Reforming the Electric Power Industry under the Ministry of Energy, was appointed acting first deputy chairman of the company’s board

Uzenergosotish, which performs the functions of centralized procurement and sales of electrical energy, was established by the decree of the President of Uzbekistan on reforming the energy industry, issued in September 2023.

From 1 July, it will begin to perform its functions. The functions of operating the main power grids remain with the National Electric Grids.
