Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan became a member of the International Financial Consumer Protection Organization (FinCoNet). This was announced by the regulator’s press service.

Cooperation with this organization will allow introducing into the banking system of Uzbekistan the best practices of foreign countries that are leaders in the field of protecting the rights of consumers of financial services, establishing effective communication with regulators of member states, improving legislative documents and existing procedures in the field of protecting the rights and legitimate interests of consumers of financial services, which allows us to further strengthen the system, improve the qualifications of employees and ensure that they have the necessary knowledge and skills.

FinCoNet was created in 2013 as a non-profit association. Currently, financial consumer protection regulators from 35 countries are permanent members of this organization, and 6 international organizations have joined as observers.
