Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 3 February, the visit of the World Bank’s technical assistance mission to the financial sector of Uzbekistan, led by Eva Gutierrez, senior specialist in the financial sector, began.

On the first day of the visit, a meeting was held with the Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank, during which issues of further elaboration of the “National Strategy for Increasing Financial Accessibility” and “The Strategy for the Development of the Financial Sector” were discussed.

The parties exchanged views on the goals and program of the mission, the progress achieved in the development of the “National Strategy for Increasing Financial Inclusion”, and discussed further actions to organize separate seminars for interested parties.

An exchange of views also took place in certain areas of the "Strategy for the Development of the Financial Sector", including the processes of privatization and consolidation of state-owned banks systems.
