Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has become a full member of the International Financial Education Network of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD / IFRS).

Since 2008, the OECD International Network for Financial Education has been pursuing a policy in the field of: effective implementation and monitoring of the assessment of standards in the field of financial education; development and assistance in carrying out initiatives aimed at improving the financial literacy of various segments of the population; introducing the International Student Educational Assessment Program (PISA) into the practice of monitoring the assessment of educational systems.

Representatives of more than 120 countries are members of the International Network including CIS countries such as: the Republic of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.

Full membership will allow the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan not only to use resources and receive assistance from IFRS / OECD, but also to actively participate in meetings of the Technical Committee and events aimed at improving financial education and improving financial literacy.
