The capital of banks in Uzbekistan reached 114.79 trillion soums at the beginning of 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 January 2025, the capital of commercial banks in Uzbekistan amounted to 114.79 trillion soums, according to data from the Central Bank of the country.

Of this amount, over 70.17 trillion soums, or 61% of the total banking sector capital, are held by state-owned banks.

The capital of private banks, in turn, reached 44.62 trillion soums, which accounts for 39% of the total sector capital.

The three largest banks by capital are Uznaftbank (18.86 trillion soums, or 16% of the sector’s total capital), Agrobank (12.43 trillion soums, or 11%), and Uzpromstroybank (10.02 trillion soums, or 9%). Asaka Bank and the People’s Bank occupy the 4th and 5th positions, each with a capital of 8 trillion soums, which makes up 7% of the total sector capital.

Among private banks, the largest are Ipoteka Bank with a capital of 7.34 trillion soums (6%), Kapitalbank with 5.22 trillion soums (5%), and Hamkorbank with 5.16 trillion soums (4%).
