Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 9 January, a meeting with representatives of the delegation of the Kingdom of Cambodia was held at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance Otabek Fozilkarimov, Deputy Executive Director of the Pension Fund Nuriddin Shadikhodjayev and a number of ministry employees took part in it. From the foreign side, representatives of the delegation led by the Deputy Secretary of State of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Cambodia and the Secretary General of the National Council of Social Security of Cambodia Chan Narit and the deputy director of the Ministry of Planning of Cambodia Chea Radet participated.

At the beginning of the meeting, the guests were informed about the reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in the last five years in terms of social protection of the population, financing of the sector and digitization. It was noted that special attention was paid to digitalization in order to ensure openness and transparency.

Also, information system "Unified Register of Social Protection", its identification mechanism, digital platform and system architecture, as well as set of infrastructure and technologies used in social protection were introduced.

In addition, it was mentioned that separate state services for entering the "Unified Register of Social Protection" have been established in order to facilitate the population. As a continuation of the ongoing work, it was announced that starting from April of this year, the online application service for receiving benefits through the "Unified Register of Social Protection" will be introduced.

At the end of the meeting, all the questions of the representatives of the Cambodian delegation were fully answered. Foreign guests expressed their gratitude for detailed information.
