Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17-18 July this year, a delegation of the government of Uzbekistan paid an official visit to Georgia.

During the visit, a meeting of government delegations headed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili is taking place. This was reported by the press service of the CCI.

Issues of economic cooperation between the countries were discussed at the meeting. It was noted that Georgia and the Republic of Uzbekistan are stable trading partners and there is even more potential between the countries in this direction.

As a result of the meeting, a number of bilateral documents were signed.

In order to further expand trade, economic and investment relations between the two countries, an agreement was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Georgia on the establishment of the Georgian-Uzbek Business Council.

An agreement was reached to hold an Uzbek-Georgian business forum in Tashkent in October this year. This business forum is expected to be attended by Georgian companies in the fields of winemaking, tourism, textiles and electrical engineering, which are showing great interest in Uzbekistan.
