The ballet performance "The Nutcracker" was shown for the first time to blind and visually impaired spectators

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi for the first time hosted a performance of The Nutcracker for blind and visually impaired spectators.

This became possible thanks to the audio commentary system. This action is another step towards creating inclusive conditions for people with special needs in the country.

For this performance, the Culture and Arts Foundation provided 200 invitation cards to the participants of the Kongil kozi project, pupils and teachers of the specialized school for children with disabilities No. 25, wards of the ONA Public Foundation, the Mehrli qollar Center and representatives of the Society of the Blind of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The introduction of the practice of audio commentary for blind and visually impaired spectators attending cultural events is one of the systematic activities of the Foundation.
