Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On October 5, in one of the biggest concert halls of the country there held place a closing and awarding ceremony of the Tashkent International Film Forum "Golden Gepard". Once again we could observe the red carpet, which was filled with a lot of distinguished guests, big crowd of paparazzi, who were scurrying for sensational shoots, and most importantly - an incredibly patient, kind and sympathetic audience.

As it was noted by the Chairman of the Jury of the Film Forum and Director of the British Academy of Film and Television, Nick Powell: "The most important component of activities in the field of cinematography is - the audience on the court of whom are created most of the products by thousands filmmakers ...", at the same time he warmly thanked all attendees for their active participation in the film shows.

In addition, once again, Nick Powell did not hide his admiration for outstanding audience in Uzbekistan, and how versatile, and at the same time, incredibly beautiful and stylish it was.

The ceremony began with an incredibly exciting dance performance that beautifully combined with the background screen, which has been showing different frames from famous films, belonging to Uzbek, Soviet and foreign cinematography. Moreover, there were Uzbek pop stars who were singing their songs with young singers -winners of the Kelajak Ovozi National contest.

The highlight of the ceremony was the performance of Rustam Sagdullaev, who sang very popular song "Smuglyanka - moldavanka" from the famous Soviet film "Only old man are going to battle", where he played the role of a young solder in love, named Romeo.

The awarding of the winners took place in several categories: "Best Animated Film", "Best Short Film", "Best Actor", "Best Actress", "Best Film Director", "Best Full – length Film."

The winner of the Film Festival was a film "Joanna" by Polish film director Feliks Falk. The prize for "Best Actress" was given to Ursula Grabowska for her role in the film "Joanna."

Film directed by Rolando Colla from Switzerland "Summer Games" was the winner in the nomination of "Best Film Director." The prize for best actor was given to Avanes Tarasyan, who played his role in film "Ave" (Bulgaria, the director Konstantin Bozhanov).

Special prize was given to a famous Russian actor - Gosha Kutsenko for the film "This is what happened with me" (directed by Victor Shamir).

Chairman of the Fund Forum Gulnara Karimova underlined in her thankful speech, that this year it can be safely said that the second jump of the Golden Gepard was much more confident and higher, and thus, given forum became much more stronger and recognizable both in Uzbekistan and abroad.
