The average monthly nominal wages in Uzbekistan makes up 2.09 million soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In January-June 2019, the average monthly nominal accrued wages in the Republic of Uzbekistan made up 2.09 million soums (including wage supplements, remunerations, incentive payments, compensation payments and unearned the time, as well as the tax on income earned from individuals, social insurance contributions and to the trade union fund). The growth made 30.1% compared to the same period of 2018.

An analysis of the average monthly nominal wage for January-June 2019 showed the following.

In the field of education in 23,030 establishments, 1.02 million people work (the share in the total number of employees in the republic is 37.6%), the wage fund accrued to these employees was 10.42 trillion soums (share in the payroll in the republic - 30.5%).

In the field of education, the average monthly nominal accrued wages amounted to 1.69 million soums and increased, compared to the same period of 2018, by 35.3%.

In the field of education in a number of regions, a relatively high level of the average monthly nominal wage has been formed.

Compared to the national average, it was significantly higher in the city of Tashkent – by 27.2%, Tashkent - by 4.0%, Jizzakh - by 1.9% and Navoi regions - by 1.7%.

Along with this, the level of average monthly nominal accrued wages in eight regions of the country was in this area lower than the national average.

Much lower, it was formed in Surkhandarya – minus 2.2%, Khorezm - minus 6.4%, Ferghana – minus 8.5% and Kashkadarya regions – minus 10.4%.

In a number of regions, there was a high level of the average monthly nominal accrued wages in industry compared to the national average.

It was higher than the national average in Navoi region – by 21.4%, the Republic of Karakalpakstan - by 17.9%, the city of Tashkent - by 15.2% and Tashkent region - by 10.5%.

At the same time, in ten regions the level of the average monthly nominal accrued wages was in this area lower than the national average.

A low level was formed in Surkhandarya (-31.3%), Jizzakh (- 37.1%), Syrdarya (- 37.9%) and Namangan (- 40.4%) regions.

Compared with the average national level, in the field of health care and social services provision, a relatively high level of average monthly nominal wage has been formed in Tashkent city – by 18.8%, Bukhara region - by 12.4%, Republic of Karakalpakstan - by 11.0% and Syrdarya region - by 8.6%.

In nine regions, the level of the average monthly nominal accrued wages was in this area lower than the national average.

In particular, below it was observed in Surkhandarya – minus 4.8%, Ferghana - minus 4.5%, Tashkent - 6.4% and Kashkadarya regions - minus 19.3%.

If we consider the average monthly nominal wages in the field of transportation and storage, then the highest level is observed in the city of Tashkent – by 20.9%, also higher than the average republican one is noted in Bukhara - by 3.3% and Namangan regions - by 2.6%.

Along with this, in eleven regions of the country the level of the average monthly nominal accrued wages in this area was below the national average.

Low average monthly wages in transportation and storage were in Tashkent – minus 44.0%, Syrdaryo - minus 46.6%, Samarkand - minus 51.2% and Andijan regions - minus 59.6%, which is significantly lower than the national average.

A high level of the average monthly nominal accrued wages, compared with the national average, was observed in this area in the city of Tashkent – by 31.2%. Also, it was slightly higher in Andijan region – by 0.1%.

In the twelve regions, the level of the average monthly nominal accrued wages in this area was below the national average.

It was significantly lower in Surkhandarya (- 23.1%), in Tashkent (- 24.2%), in Syrdarya (- 25.5%), and in Kashkadarya regions (- 26.2%).

In the republic as a whole, in January-June 2019, compared to the same period of last year, the average monthly nominal accrued wages in health care and the provision of social services increased by 37.2%, education - by 35.3%, banking, insurance, leasing and the credit and intermediary sphere - by 31.8%, industry - by 23.0%, construction - by 22.9%.

If we consider the average monthly nominal wages in the context of the regions, the highest level was in Tashkent - 2.97 million soums (compared to the average national level - by 42.0%), Navoi - 2.66 million soums (by 27.1%) and Tashkent - 2.3 million soums (by 9.9%), on the contrary, low wages were in Samarkand - 1.73 million soums (-26.9%), Surkhandarya - 1.72 million soums (-17.7%) and Namangan regions - 1.72 million soums (17.8%).
