Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The team of the Association of Chefs of Uzbekistan took part in the International Culinary Championship Gastro Antalya 2022, which was held in Antalya from 17 to 20 November 2022.

The culinary championship was attended by chefs and judges of the highest category from all over the world, in particular from Israel, Italy, Serbia, Germany, Russia, Dagestan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Spain, Turkey and other countries.

In 2021, Gastro Antalya, which was held with a limited number of participants due to the pandemic, became the largest and most prestigious championship in Turkey, with over 600 participants from 32 countries.

According to the results of the championship, the team of the Association of Chefs of Uzbekistan won 4 medals:

Ibragimov Shokhruzhon - 1st place (gold medal) in the nomination "Fish dish" and 2nd place (silver medal) in the nomination "Modern cuisine - meat dish";

Mirbabaev Elerbek - 1st place (gold medal) - in the nomination "Golden Chef of the Year" and 2nd place (silver medal) in the nomination "Paste".

For information, a number of works are being carried out in Uzbekistan to develop gastro-tourism. In the regions of the country, such gastronomic festivals as "99 types of Aral fish dishes" in Muynak, the International Gastronomic Festival in Samarkand were held.
