The assets of Uzbek banks reach 345.1 trillion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Assets of commercial banks in Uzbekistan as of 1 November 2020 made up 345.1 trillion soums, which is 26.5% more compared to the beginning of 2020, according to the data of the Central Bank.

At the same time, 85% of the assets of the entire banking sector of Uzbekistan, or 292.82 trillion soums accounted for by financial institutions with the participation of the state share.

National Bank of Uzbekistan (77 trillion soums or 22.3% of total assets), Uzpromstroybank (45.98 trillion soums or 13.3%) and Asaka Bank (40.73 trillion soums or 11.8%) are leading in terms of volume assets.

Banks of Uzbekistan as of 1 November issued loans in the amount of 266.93 trillion soums. The growth was 26.2% compared to the beginning of 2020. The share of state-owned banks is 88% or 235.97 trillion soums.

The leaders in terms of loans issued are the National Bank (63.75 trillion soums or 23.9% of the total volume of loans), Uzpromstroybank (38.88 trillion soums or 14.6%) and Asaka Bank (32.97 trillion soums or 12.4%)

The total capital of commercial banks in Uzbekistan as of November 1 exceeded 57.51 trillion soums. The capital of state-owned banks in Uzbekistan is 48.4 trillion soums or 84% of the total capital.

As of 1 November 2020, banks have attracted deposits in the amount of 105 trillion soums. The growth compared to the beginning of the year was 15.4%. At the same time, 71% of deposits or 74.78 trillion soums were placed in state banks.

National Bank of Uzbekistan (16.21 trillion soums or 15.4% of total deposits), Halyk Bank (10.04 trillion soums or 9.6%) and Uzpromstroybank (9.32 trillion soums or 8.9%) are leading on attracted deposits.

The liabilities of commercial banks in Uzbekistan increased from 221.7 trillion soums as of 1 January 2020 to 287.59 trillion soums on 1 November 2020.
