The assets of Uzbek banks make up 333.39 trillion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Assets of commercial banks in Uzbekistan as of 1 October 2020 made up 333.39 trillion soums, which is 22.24% more compared to the beginning of 2020, according to the data of the Central Bank.

At the same time, 85% of the assets of the entire banking sector of Uzbekistan, or 282.73 trillion soums accounted for by financial institutions with the participation of the state share.

National Bank (72.94 trillion soums or 21.9% of total assets), Uzpromstroybank (46.12 trillion soums or 13.8%) and Asaka Bank (39.98 trillion soums or 12.0%) are leading on the volume of the assets.

Banks of Uzbekistan as of 1 October issued loans in the amount of 260.71 trillion soums. The growth was 23.22% compared to beginning of 2020. The share of state-owned banks is 88% or 230.58 trillion soums.

The leaders in terms of the volume of issued loans are the National Bank (62.88 trillion soums or 23.1% of the total volume of loans), Uzpromstroybank (38.48 trillion soums or 14.8%) and Asaka Bank (32.12 trillion soums or 12.3%)

The total capital of commercial banks in Uzbekistan as of 1 October 2020 exceeded 56.46 trillion soums. The capital of state banks in Uzbekistan is 47.5 trillion soums or 84% of the total capital.

As of 1 October 2020, banks have attracted deposits in the amount of 103.37 trillion soums. The growth in comparison with the beginning of 2020 was 13.7%. At the same time, 84% of deposits or 47.5 trillion soums were placed in state banks.

National Bank (16.31 trillion soums or 15.8% of total deposits), Halyk Bank (10.03 trillion soums or 9.7%) and Ipoteka Bank (9.93 trillion soums or 6.6%) are leading in terms of attracted deposits.

The liabilities of commercial banks in Uzbekistan increased from 221.7 trillion soums as of 1 January 2020 to 276.93 trillion soums as of 1 October 2020 (+ 24.91%).
