Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Assets of commercial banks in Uzbekistan as of 1 December 2020 made up 350.47 trillion soums, which is 28.5% more compared to the beginning of 2020, according to the data of the Central Bank.

At the same time, 85% of the assets of the entire banking sector of Uzbekistan, or 296.75 trillion soums accounted for by financial institutions with the participation of the state share.

National Bank of Uzbekistan (76.1 trillion soums or 21.7% of total assets), Uzpromstroybank (45.64 trillion soums or 13%) and Asaka Bank (41.53 trillion soums or 11.9%) are leading in terms of volume assets.

Banks of Uzbekistan as of 1 December issued loans in the amount of 270.71 trillion soums. The growth was 27.9% compared to the beginning of 2020. The share of state-owned banks is 88% or 239.12 trillion soums.

The leaders in terms of the volume of issued loans are the National Bank (63.92 trillion soums or 23.6% of the total volume of loans), Uzpromstroybank (39.11 trillion soums or 14.4%) and Asaka Bank (33.48 trillion soums or eleven%).

The total capital of commercial banks in Uzbekistan as of 1 December exceeded 57.95 trillion soums. The capital of state-owned banks in Uzbekistan is 48.63 trillion soums or 84% of the total capital.

As of 1 December 2020, banks have attracted deposits in the amount of 105.83 trillion soums. The growth in comparison with the beginning of the year was 16.3%. At the same time, 70% of deposits or 74.49 trillion soums are placed in state banks.

National Bank of Uzbekistan (16.3 trillion soums or 15.4% of total deposits), Khalq Bank (10.13 trillion soums or 9.6%) and Uzpromstroybank (8.86 trillion soums or 8.4%) are leading on attracted deposits.
