The Ambassador of Uzbekistan presented his credentials to the President of Hungary

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The first Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Hungary, Oybek Shakhavdinov, presented his credentials to the President of Hungary, Tamás Sulyok, Dunyo news agency reported.

The ceremony took place at the Sandor Palota presidential palace in Budapest.

After the presentation of the certificates, there was a tour of the guard of honor and an entry in the Guest Book of the President’s residence, as well as the laying of a wreath on the capital’s Heroes’ Square.

At the meeting that took place after the ceremony, the President of Hungary expressed support for the dynamic changes and large-scale reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

During the conversation, the current state and prospects for deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries in various fields, including political, trade, economic, investment, tourism, humanitarian and other areas were discussed.

The great potential for further comprehensive expansion of cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats was emphasized.

At the end of the meeting, President Tamás Sulyok congratulated the Ambassador of Uzbekistan on his appointment and wished him success in his activities.

Oybek Shakhavdinov arrived in Hungary on March 7 and is the first ambassador of Uzbekistan with residence in Budapest.
