The aggregate income of the population of Uzbekistan reaches 222.4 trillion soums
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to preliminary data, the aggregate income of the population of Uzbekistan in January-March 2025 amounted to 222.4 trillion soums. This was reported by the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
To exclude the impact of price changes in calculating the real growth rates of income, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) is used, which is one of the key indicators of inflation. As a result of changes in consumer prices, the real growth rate of aggregate income in comparison with the same period of 2024 was 109.8%.
The total aggregate income per capita in January-March 2025 amounted to 5.9 million soums. The nominal growth of this indicator for the considered period was 118.5%, and in real terms — 107.6%.
The average aggregate income per capita, exceeding the national average, was observed in Tashkent (15,859.0 thousand soums), Navoi (9,452.7 thousand soums), Bukhara (6,364.2 thousand soums), and Tashkent (6,134.5 thousand soums) regions. Meanwhile, the aggregate income per capita below the national average was recorded in Namangan (3,966.0 thousand soums), Surkhandarya (4,078.5 thousand soums) regions, and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (4,117.2 thousand soums), as well as in Kashkadarya (4,235.0 thousand soums), Jizzakh (4,531.7 thousand soums), Syrdarya (4,625.4 thousand soums), Fergana (4,890.3 thousand soums), Samarkand (4,970.2 thousand soums), Andijan (5,077.8 thousand soums), and Khorezm (5,510.4 thousand soums) regions.
The highest real growth in aggregate income per capita was recorded in the Fergana (14.5%), Navoi (10.1%), and Tashkent (9.8%) regions, as well as in Andijan (8.6%) and Khorezm (7.9%) regions. At the same time, the real growth rates of aggregate income in Bukhara (6.8%), Samarkand (6.6%), Kashkadarya (6.3%), Surkhandarya (4.3%) regions, as well as in the Republic of Karakalpakstan (3.8%), Syrdarya (3.4%), Namangan (3.4%), Tashkent (3.3%), and Jizzakh (2.9%) regions were below the national average.
The share of income from labor activities (including wages and self-employment income) in total income amounted to 57.7%. The share of income from self-produced services for own consumption in total aggregate income was 7.7%, income from property — 4.7%, and transfers — 29.9%.
The highest share of income from labor activities (wages and self-employment income) was observed in the Navoi region (70.9%). Meanwhile, in Namangan, Kashkadarya, Khorezm, Surkhandarya, Tashkent, Samarkand, Andijan, and Fergana regions, this share was below the national average.
The share of income from self-produced services for own consumption and property income in the structure of total aggregate income was small, but in Tashkent, this figure was 22.9%. In Andijan, Fergana, Samarkand, Surkhandarya, Kashkadarya, Khorezm, Namangan regions, as well as in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Bukhara, the share of income from transfers reached 30% of the total income, while in Navoi, this indicator was the lowest at 13.9%.
The share of wages in the total aggregate income of the population amounted to 30.0%. The growth rate of wages during the reporting period reached 120.3%, contributing to a 6.1% increase in nominal income.
Regional differences in the share and growth rates of wages, especially in Tashkent and Navoi, had a significant impact on the overall level of aggregate income.
The growth rate of income during the reporting period was 117.5%, leading to a 5.0% increase in nominal income.
In the Jizzakh region, the share of self-employment income was 43.0%, with nominal growth compared to the same period in 2024 reaching 115.8%. In the Tashkent region, this figure was 38.7% with a nominal growth of 116.5%, and in the Bukhara region, the share of self-employment income was 38.3% with a growth of 116.4%.
Income from transfers, including social and other current transfers, plays an important role in the structure of the population's income. The nominal growth rate of income from transfers in January-March 2025 was 128.0% compared to the same period in 2024. The share of transfers in total income amounted to 29.9%.
Of the total transfers, 34.7% were social transfers, and 65.3% were other current transfers. Pensions accounted for 84.0% of all social transfers, allowances — 14.1%, and scholarships — 1.9%. The share of remittances from abroad in the total income of the population amounted to 19.5%.
In the structure of total aggregate income, the share of income from small businesses was 53.9%. The largest share of such income was observed in Jizzakh (61.8%), Bukhara (59.8%), Tashkent (59.3%), Khorezm (59.1%), Samarkand (57.9%), Namangan (56.4%), and Kashkadarya (55.3%) regions. In Tashkent, this indicator was 46.9%, in the Navoi region — 48.9%, and in the Republic of Karakalpakstan — 49.2%.
