Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Presidential Resolution “On additional measures to increase the flow of foreign tourists and further improve the country’s image through widespread promotion of the study of the history and culture of Uzbekistan, the Uzbek language and literature in foreign countries” was adopted.

According to the Resolution:

the Internet platform “Uzbek Academy” (“Uzacademy”) will be created in foreign countries;

The platform provides for training in foreign countries in the history and culture of Uzbekistan, the Uzbek language and literature using modern information technologies.

The activities of the centers of the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi and the departments of “Uzbekshunoslik” (“Uzbek Studies”) of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Silk Road” will be established in foreign educational and scientific organizations that show a high interest in the rich scientific, historical, cultural and spiritual heritage of our country;

From 1 May 2024, these centers and departments will be provided with teaching aids and textbooks, audio and video materials on the history and culture of Uzbekistan, the Uzbek language and literature in the following volumes:
200 units – for teaching the Uzbek language;
100 units – to study Uzbek literature;
100 units – to study the culture of Uzbekistan;
100 units – to study the history of Uzbekistan;
20 units – for the study of cultural heritage and tourism.

By the end of 2024, Uzbek language courses will be organized at Uzbek national cultural centers abroad and diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan abroad.
