Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The activities of tourism enterprises against which a criminal case has been initiated will be suspended. This was reported by the press service of the Committee on Tourism of Uzbekistan.
Earlier it was reported that the Transport Prosecutor’s Office is conducting a preliminary investigation against 40 travel companies that provide services for organizing Umrah. The Transport Prosecutor’s Office sent a letter to the Tourism Committee to suspend the licenses of these tour operators and travel agents.
The Tourism Committee notes that the letter was sent based on information received from citizens who suffered material and moral damage as a result of delays in flights to return from Saudi Arabia to Uzbekistan.
To clarify information about the original tourism enterprises mentioned in the appeal, the Committee on Tourism sent an expert to the Transport Prosecutor’s Office.
The Committee, together with the Transport Prosecutor’s Office of Uzbekistan, is working to establish the TIN of enterprises that appear in jointly with the Transport Prosecutor’s Office
After establishing the TIN of enterprises, the activities of travel companies against which a criminal case has been initiated will be temporarily suspended.
