Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 October 2022, the 4th meeting of the Uzbek-Russian Subcommission on Cooperation in the Field of Agriculture of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the format of video call.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kakhramon Yuldashev and Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Sergey Levin discussed a wide range of issues on the agenda of cooperation in the field of agro-industry, namely, interaction in the field of animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, fish farming and poultry farming, trade in agricultural products and investment cooperation, cooperation in in the field of quarantine and plant protection. The issues of increasing cooperation in the field of agricultural education and digitalization of agriculture were discussed separately.

As a result of the event, the parties approved a joint "Roadmap" to enhance bilateral cooperation in the field of agriculture between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation for the medium term.
