Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The 41st meeting of the Central Asian Coordination Council for Electric Power Industry, organized by the joint-stock company National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan, was held in Tashkent.
The Coordination Council is an advisory body for coordinating the joint activities of energy systems in Central Asia, ensuring the integrated use of fuel and energy resources and the implementation of contracts between business entities in the energy sector.
The meeting participants analyzed current problems in the field of efficient use of water resources during the 2024 growing season, preventing energy shortages and major accidents, and also discussed long-term cooperation plans and preparations for the autumn-winter season of 2024-2025.
It was emphasized that strengthening cooperation in the energy sector is important to ensure stability of supplies and successful operation in the future.
The discussion also touched upon issues of compliance with the dispatch regime, staff development, exchange of experience and training. Specialists from Armenia and other CIS countries took part in the meeting via video link, and specialists from Russia acted as observers, making suggestions and comments on technical and engineering issues.
The next meeting of the Council is scheduled for October 2024 in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan.
