Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) will hold the 12th session of the Islamic Conference of Tourism Ministers (ICTM) on 2 June 2024 in Khiva, Uzbekistan.
Khiva was chosen as a tourist city of the Islamic world for 2024. The main theme of the event will be “Developing the Tourism Industry in a Sustainable and Sustainable Manner.”
OIC Secretary General Hissein Brahim Taha is expected to speak at the opening of the 12th session of the ICTM.
Preparatory meetings for the conference will begin on 31 May in Khiva. The first event will be the 9th meeting of the Tourism Coordination Committee, followed by a meeting of senior officials. It will include three working sessions and a closing session. The draft resolutions developed at this meeting will be presented at the 12th session of the ICTM on June 2.
The conference will consist of two working sessions and a closing session. Within the framework of the 12th session of the ICTM, the OIC Framework Program for Development and Cooperation in the Sphere of Tourism will be implemented.
In addition, at the 12th session of the ICTM, the winners of the OIC City of Tourism Award will be selected for 2025 and 2026.
ICTM participants will discuss the implementation of the Strategic Roadmap for the Development of Islamic Tourism, consider progress in this industry and achievements in tourism infrastructure projects.
