The 12th International Exhibition of Xinjiang products started in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A grand opening ceremony of the 12th International Exhibition of Xinjiang Products took place at the UzExpoCentre exhibition center in the capital of Uzbekistan on Monday, Xinhua news agency reported.

Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Foreign Economic Relations of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khodjaev, in his message to the participants of the event, noted its special importance in the context of the implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to China in May this year.

According to Yusupjan Mamat, member of the Bureau of the Committee of the Communist Party of China, Deputy Head of the People’s Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China, this exhibition was widely recognized and appreciated by Chinese and Uzbek entrepreneurs, provided an excellent platform for in-depth exchanges between enterprises, and became a vivid embodiment of the construction of the Belt and Road ".

“Through this exhibition, we continue to implement the important agreements reached by the leaders of the two states and expand friendly exchanges between Chinese Xinjiang and Uzbekistan in the areas of trade, investment, transport, energy, infrastructure, technology, as well as in the cultural and humanitarian sphere,” - he noted.

The exhibition presents stands of leading Chinese and Uzbek enterprises of the agricultural industry, household appliances, information technology, consulting, medical industry, food and beverages, tea production, construction, textile and chemical industries, logistics and energy.

Within the framework of the event, the Uzbek-Chinese business forum was held, in which over 130 large Chinese companies interested in cooperation with Uzbekistan took part.

The exhibition, which has been held in Tashkent since 2009, will last until 6 September.
