Thai Investment Board delegation visits Uzbekistan to establish ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A delegation of the Board of Investment of Thailand arrived in Uzbekistan on 25 August to study investment opportunities in Uzbekistan and discuss cooperation opportunities, as well as establishment of business contacts with the Uzbek partners.
During the seven-day visit, the delegation will held negotiations at the ministries and departments of Uzbekistan.
On 26 August, chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alisher Shaykhov held negotiations with the head of the delegation Secretary-General of the Board of Investment of Thailand Atchaka Sibunruang Brimble. The sides considered issues of mutual beneficial partnership in industry, transportation and technologies, as well as tourism.
The sides agreed to develop and expand cooperation areas, establish communication and information exchange procedures.
On 28-30 August 2009, the Thai delegation will visit Samarkand and Bukhara and hold talks with local authorities and businesses.
It is also planned that the delegation will visit historic sights of Samarkand and Bukhara to acquaint with cultural and art heritage of Uzbekistan.
