Within the project, Korean company plans to invest US$60 million to creation of textile enterprise in Uzbekistan.

The capacity of the enterprise will make up 6,000 tonnes of cotton yarn, 7.5 million square meters of cotton yarn and 5 million units of ready-made garments a year.

The project was included to the programme on priorities of industrial development of Uzbekistan in 2011-2015.

In line with the target figures of industrial development of Uzbekistan for 2011-2015, Uzbekistan plans to increase cotton yarn production by 2.6 times to 524,000 tonnes by 2015.

The volume of industrial goods production in light industry will grow from 3.927 trillion soums in 2010 to 7.875 trillion soums in 2015. Share of light industry in industrial production will increase from 12.8% in 2010 to 15.6% in 2015.
