Textile Expo Uzbekistan is the main landmark for all professionals of textile industry, which demonstrates export potential of the Uzbek market, as well as the latest innovations of foreign companies.

The project is organised by the International Exhibition Company ITE Uzbekistan, a member of UFI, and its partner - ITE Exhibitions & Conferences Ltd. (UK).

Textile Expo Uzbekistan 2011 unites more than 40 leading companies from 11 countries, including: Republic of Belarus, Germany, India, Kazakhstan, Latvia, China, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, and France. The Indian Council for Development of Cotton Textile Exports (TEXPROCIL) is a debutant of the Exhibition. As compared to the entire history of the event, Textile Expo Uzbekistan 2011 has attracted a record number of exhibitors and got a 20% increment in its exhibition area.

The exhibitors include regular members, as well as some companies that participate for the first time. A composition of participants, like in previous years, embraces the largest producers and exporters of Uzbekistan - 80%, and foreign participants - 20%.

A motto of this year is: “The best Uzbek textile – successful competition to textile from China and Turkey". Uzbek textile takes a high position in the international textile business, successfully competing with textiles from Turkey, India, China and other textile-producing countries. Wholesale buyers from near and far abroad countries express their high willingness to buy it.

Products from Uzbekistan can be found in such networks as “C&A”, “Wal Mart”, “Quelle” and many others. The stands of domestic companies at Textile Expo Uzbekistan 2011 will be a superb showcase demonstrating in the most profitable and bright way a rich assortment of high quality products made by local producers. Such active representation of the domestic companies is the positive sign of the reforms being implemented in the sector, namely the steps taken by the Government to ensure further and sustainable development of the domestic textile, garment and knitwear industry, to strengthen incentives for deeper processing of cotton fibre and set up production of modern and competitive textile products. In particular, the textile industry has got an extended exemption from property tax till 1 January 2016 for those companies, which export more than 80 percent of their products, including semi-finished products (yarn, fabrics, knitted fabrics and cotton spinning wastes). Also, the enterprises of SJSC Uzbekyengilsanoat have been allowed to buy till the end of 2015, textile semi-finished products for hard currency (yarn, fabrics, knitted fabrics, cotton spinning wastes) from the domestic market at the international prices prevailing at the time of the contract, keeping in mind that 80 percent of products, made of these semi-finished products, would be exported. In addition, chemicals, dyes, fittings, accessories, and other accessory materials, which are not produced in the country and to be imported by the enterprises of SJSC Uzbekyengilsanoat, are exempt from import customs duties till January 1, 2016.

The granted privileges and preferences has enabled for a short time to establish production of not just primary produce - yarn, gray fabric and linen, but also of finished products, fabrics, as well as semi-finished products for sewing and knitting industries, which meet international standards and compete with foreign analogues

The progress in the textile industry of Uzbekistan has become an incentive for foreign companies looking for establishment of partnerships with local companies in terms of providing local industry with quality chemicals and dyes, yarns and accessories, as well as to expand their presence in the local consumer market. To ensure successful operation for all participants of the event, a special Buyer Program was launched for the first time this year to increase participation of visitors from all regions of Uzbekistan, the CIS and other countries. Marketing companies from Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, India and others have already confirmed their participation in the Exhibition.

The organisers believe that Textile Expo Uzbekistan 2011 will be an important step towards rapid progress and modernization of the textile industry of Uzbekistan focused on production of highly competitive products made of local raw materials and the most advanced technological developments and innovative technologies.
