Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 1 November to 25 December 2022, Termez International Airport will temporarily suspend its operations.

The airport will be closed for arrival and departure of the aircrafts in connection with preparations for the commissioning of a new airfield complex, the press service of Uzbekistan Airport reports.

At the moment, the construction of a new runway with a length of 3,000 meters and a width of 60 meters has been fully completed. 

Within almost two months, work will have to be done to connect taxiways with a new runway and apron, as well as to install a new CAT-I ICAO lighting system, weather and radio navigation landing systems.
