Tennis: Uzbekistan Cup ends

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- At the Republican Tennis School of the Olympic Reserve, the “Uzbekistan Cup” among men and women has ended. 

The competition was attended by 15 teams from all regions of the country, divided into 4 groups. On 14 November 2020, the final matches were held in singles, as well as in doubles mixed. It is noteworthy that in the final matches the teams Tashkent 1 and Tashkent 2 fought with each other.

The winner of the men’s singles category was Olimdjon Nabiev (Tashkent), and Yasmina Karimjanova (Tashkent) won the women’s singles category. Champion of doubles mixed steel - Maxim Shin / Milana Maslenkova (Tashkent)

A very interesting final took place in the team category. In doubles mixed, representatives of 2 teams from Tashkent entered the court.

Singles, men:

1st place - Olimjon Nabiev (Tashkent)

2nd place - Maxim Shin (Tashkent)

3rd place - Sanettula Kutybaev (Karakalpakstan)

Singles, women:

1st place - Yasmina Karimjanova (Tashkent)

2nd place - Milana Maslenkova (Tashkent)

3rd place - Nasiba Empolova (Karakalpakstan)

Mixed:

1st place - Maxim Shin / Milana Maslenkova (Tashkent)

2nd place - Olimjon Nabiev / Yasmina Karimjanova (Tashkent)

The final match and the award ceremony were attended by guests of honor: President of the National Olympic Committee Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov, First Deputy Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Ravshan Irmatov, NOC Secretary General Oybek Kasymov and other responsible persons, as well as representatives of the Tennis Federation.

Upon completion of the awarding ceremony, Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov talked with the players, made a motivational address and inspired the players to further victories.
