Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The Government of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with Uzbekistan Airports, the Ministry of Transport, and the Ministry of Economy and Finance, has announced a tender for the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project for the modernization and management of Urgench International Airport.
The project is planned to be implemented under the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model.
Uzbekistan Airports has announced the first stage of the tender, which includes a Request for Qualifications (RFQ). Companies with experience in similar projects are invited to participate.

Urgench Airport serves regular flights for 8 airlines and about 40 charter airlines. In 2023, the airport served 590,000 passengers, with a 17% increase in passenger traffic expected in 2024. During the PPP period, passenger traffic is projected to grow annually by an average of 7.5%.
